Description
Crispy egg rolls filled with creamy cheese and jalapenos for a delicious snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup jalapenos, diced (fresh or pickled)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, garlic powder, and onion powder until well blended.
- To assemble, place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold the sides over the filling, and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, add cooked crumbled bacon to the filling. Adjust jalapeno quantity for desired spiciness.
