Description

Crispy egg rolls filled with creamy cheese and jalapenos for a delicious snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup jalapenos, diced (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, garlic powder, and onion powder until well blended.
  2. To assemble, place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold the sides over the filling, and roll tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add cooked crumbled bacon to the filling. Adjust jalapeno quantity for desired spiciness.
