Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour and salt together. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
