A hearty and comforting classic meatloaf recipe perfect for family meals any day of the week.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the glaze ingredients (ketchup, brown sugar, mustard) and spread it over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
