A fun and comforting dish that combines meatloaf and macaroni and cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup macaroni pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: additional spices (like garlic powder, paprika)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix cooked macaroni with cheese and milk.
- Layer half of the meat mixture in a greased casserole dish, followed by the macaroni and cheese mixture, and then the remaining meat mixture on top.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through and the top is browned.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 3 months.
