Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat until hot.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, ground turmeric, and red pepper flakes; cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
