Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until shimmering. Add ground beef, breaking it apart until deeply browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  2. Push the beef to one side of the skillet. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli florets, tossing gently with the beef mixture and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, until broccoli is tender yet crisp, stirring halfway through.
  6. Reduce heat to low, pour in heavy cream, and stir gently to combine.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the mixture, cover, and cook for 2–3 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  8. If using, add Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes; stir gently to combine.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.
