Juicy Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs are a delicious and satisfying meal infused with rich garlic butter and fresh herbs, striking a perfect balance between simplicity and gourmet flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs (bone-in and skin-on)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, then flip and sear for another 2 minutes.
- Remove chicken and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring until melted.
- Return chicken thighs to the skillet skin-side up, sprinkle thyme and drizzle lemon juice over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, baste the chicken with butter halfway through baking and let it rest after baking for best results.
