Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken breasts.
  4. Place the chicken in a baking dish and squeeze the lemon juice over the top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and crispy on the outside.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the herb mixture for a few hours or overnight. Use fresh herbs if available, substituting with three times the amount of dried herbs.
