Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken breasts.
- Place the chicken in a baking dish and squeeze the lemon juice over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and crispy on the outside.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the herb mixture for a few hours or overnight. Use fresh herbs if available, substituting with three times the amount of dried herbs.
