Ingredients
- 12 ounces Pasta Shells (Uncooked)
- 1 pound ground turkey (97% lean)
- 1 cup onion (Roughly chopped yellow onion)
- 1 tbsp garlic (Minced)
- 1 cup yellow bell pepper (Diced)
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Extra light or light)
- Salt (to taste)
- 1.5 tsp Paprika (Sweet paprika)
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (Optional)
- 3 cups Water (Warm)
- 2 tbsp Better Than Bouillon (Chicken base)
- 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 cup whole Milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (Sharp)
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- Lightly brown the ground turkey in the Instant Pot.
- Deglaze the pot to remove any bits stuck to the bottom.
- Layer the uncooked pasta, followed by the tomato sauce, and then the deglazed meat mix.
- Secure the lid and pressure cook for 8-10 minutes on high pressure.
- After cooking, stir in the heavy cream and cheeses until creamy.
Notes
Adjust the spice level and substitute ground turkey for lentils or veggies for a vegetarian option. Stir the pasta after cooking to prevent clumping.
