Description

A quick and easy one-pot meal featuring ground turkey, pasta, and creamy cheeses, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Pasta Shells (Uncooked)
  • 1 pound ground turkey (97% lean)
  • 1 cup onion (Roughly chopped yellow onion)
  • 1 tbsp garlic (Minced)
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper (Diced)
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Extra light or light)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1.5 tsp Paprika (Sweet paprika)
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (Optional)
  • 3 cups Water (Warm)
  • 2 tbsp Better Than Bouillon (Chicken base)
  • 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 cup whole Milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (Sharp)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese


Instructions

  1. Lightly brown the ground turkey in the Instant Pot.
  2. Deglaze the pot to remove any bits stuck to the bottom.
  3. Layer the uncooked pasta, followed by the tomato sauce, and then the deglazed meat mix.
  4. Secure the lid and pressure cook for 8-10 minutes on high pressure.
  5. After cooking, stir in the heavy cream and cheeses until creamy.

Notes

Adjust the spice level and substitute ground turkey for lentils or veggies for a vegetarian option. Stir the pasta after cooking to prevent clumping.
