Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: sesame seeds or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic together until well combined.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown and nearly cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour the honey hoisin sauce into the pan and reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer the chicken until fully cooked and the sauce thickens into a glaze, about 5-7 more minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired, and serve hot over rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Don’t overcook to keep it juicy.
