Description

Delicious turkey meatballs coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the meatballs and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Make sure to mix the meatball ingredients well, but don’t overwork the meat to keep them tender. For added heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce.
