Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (10 oz) can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbly, draining any excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and sour cream, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, Rotel, sharp cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the dip mixture into a baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Once baked, garnish with fresh parsley or green onions and serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
For a spicier dip, opt for spicy sausage and include cayenne. Customize with additional ingredients like jalapeños or black olives.
