A delightful twist on traditional banana bread that combines ripe bananas with cocoa powder and protein, making it a wholesome snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup protein powder
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, salt, applesauce, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the bowl, mixing until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best sweetness and moisture. Consider adding chocolate chips for extra flavor.
