Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
- Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined, ensuring you don’t overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips to add bursts of chocolate in every bite.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- Once cooled, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart-shaped brownies.
