Description
A comforting one-skillet meal combining ground turkey and hearty potatoes, easy to prepare and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Crumble ground turkey into the skillet, cooking until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add diced potatoes to the skillet, cover, and cook until tender, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes until warmed through.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Serve warm in bowls.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
