Description

A comforting one-skillet meal combining ground turkey and hearty potatoes, easy to prepare and delicious.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Crumble ground turkey into the skillet, cooking until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add diced potatoes to the skillet, cover, and cook until tender, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Serve warm in bowls.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
