Description

A comforting and easy dish that combines savory beef, rich mushrooms, and a creamy sauce served over egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until creamy and heated through.
  7. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  8. Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the beef broth. For a thicker sauce, increase the amount of flour slightly.
