Description
A festive treat combining creamy white chocolate, marshmallow, and peppermint for a deliciously sweet and minty fudge.
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 bag (11 ounces) white chocolate morsels
- 1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow cream
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 drop green gel food coloring
- Green sugar, to taste
- Red heart sprinkles, to taste
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine white chocolate morsels, marshmallow cream, peppermint extract, and green gel food coloring; set aside.
- In a large heavy saucepan, combine butter, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.
- Maintain a full boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly, then remove from heat.
- Pour the hot mixture over the white chocolate mixture and blend with an electric mixer for about one minute until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- While still warm, sprinkle the top with green sugar and red heart sprinkles, pressing gently into the fudge.
- Refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight until set.
Notes
Make sure to stir constantly while boiling to prevent burning. Adjust peppermint extract to taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
