Description

Delicious grilled honey BBQ chicken, combining the sweetness of honey with smoky barbecue flavors, perfect for summer gatherings or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sriracha (optional)
  • 2 to 4 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1.25 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast tenders
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In a large zip-top plastic bag, add all ingredients except for the optional fresh herbs. Seal the bag tightly and squish the contents to coat the chicken.
  2. Place the bag in the fridge to marinate for at least 60 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 7 minutes, flipping intermittently, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs before serving immediately.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate overnight. Adjust sweetness or heat levels with honey or sriracha.
