Description
Delicious grilled honey BBQ chicken, combining the sweetness of honey with smoky barbecue flavors, perfect for summer gatherings or weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
- 1 to 3 tablespoons sriracha (optional)
- 2 to 4 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1.25 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast tenders
- Fresh cilantro or parsley (optional for garnishing)
Instructions
- In a large zip-top plastic bag, add all ingredients except for the optional fresh herbs. Seal the bag tightly and squish the contents to coat the chicken.
- Place the bag in the fridge to marinate for at least 60 minutes, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 7 minutes, flipping intermittently, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs before serving immediately.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate overnight. Adjust sweetness or heat levels with honey or sriracha.
