Description
A fun and tasty twist on grilled cheese and burritos, combining melty cheese and warm tortilla for a delicious bite.
Ingredients
- 4 flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1/2 cup cooked and shredded chicken (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- On a clean surface, place one tortilla and sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese in the center. If using chicken, add it on top of the cheese.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet, then place the burrito seam-side down.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy, then flip and add remaining butter to the skillet.
- Cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
Best served warm with dipping sauces such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. To store leftovers, wrap tightly or place in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
