Description
Delightful and healthy ginger sesame beef lettuce wraps, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook the beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until it is browned—this should take about 5-6 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and optional chili flakes. Allow the mixture to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
- Spoon the beef mixture into separated lettuce leaves. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top as a garnish.
- Enjoy your Ginger Sesame Beef Lettuce Wraps while they are fresh and warm.
Notes
Use fresh ginger and garlic for the best flavor. You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or mushrooms for a vegetarian option.
