  • 4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., thyme or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, add butter and minced garlic to the pan, and baste the pork chops with the garlicky butter.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. Marinating the pork chops beforehand can enhance the flavor.
