Description

A delightful fusion of garlic bread and grilled cheese, this sandwich features a crispy, buttery exterior with a gooey, melted cheese interior.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 4 slices of bread (sourdough or Italian recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread, covering all edges.
  3. Place two slices of bread butter-side down in a skillet over low heat. Add half of the cheese to each slice.
  4. Top with the other slices of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Cook the sandwiches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Remove from the pan, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider adding fresh garlic, vegetables, or trying different cheese blends. Pair with tomato soup for a classic combination.
