A delicious and versatile chicken marinade perfect for grilling or pan-searing, ensuring juicy and flavorful chicken every time.
Ingredients
- 700g / 1.4 lb chicken breast, tenderloins, or thigh
- 2 tbsp honey OR brown sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano (or rosemary, thyme)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
- Finely chopped parsley for garnish
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
- Mix the marinade: In a ziplock bag or container, combine the honey or brown sugar, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Marinate the chicken: Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the container and marinate for at least 3 hours or up to overnight.
- Cook the chicken: Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken until deep golden brown.
- Rest and serve: Transfer the cooked chicken to a serving plate, let it rest for about 3 minutes, and garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
