Description

A delicious and versatile chicken marinade perfect for grilling or pan-searing, ensuring juicy and flavorful chicken every time.


Ingredients

  • 700g / 1.4 lb chicken breast, tenderloins, or thigh
  • 2 tbsp honey OR brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or rosemary, thyme)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
  • Finely chopped parsley for garnish
  • Lemon slices for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
  2. Mix the marinade: In a ziplock bag or container, combine the honey or brown sugar, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Marinate the chicken: Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the container and marinate for at least 3 hours or up to overnight.
  4. Cook the chicken: Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken until deep golden brown.
  5. Rest and serve: Transfer the cooked chicken to a serving plate, let it rest for about 3 minutes, and garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
