Description

Delicious chicken bites coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • ½ lbs Boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch, for coating
  • ½ teaspoon Salt, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for cooking
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken cubes dry with paper towels. Toss them in cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add the chicken pieces in batches and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium, add minced garlic, and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  7. Allow the sauce to thicken for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  8. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Ensure the chicken is patted dry before coating for a crispier texture. Adjust red pepper flakes for heat preference.
