Ingredients
- ½ lbs Boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch, for coating
- ½ teaspoon Salt, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for cooking
- 6 cloves Garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup Honey
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 2 tablespoons Green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Pat the chicken cubes dry with paper towels. Toss them in cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the chicken pieces in batches and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium, add minced garlic, and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Allow the sauce to thicken for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Ensure the chicken is patted dry before coating for a crispier texture. Adjust red pepper flakes for heat preference.
