Description
This Crockpot Steak and Potatoes Recipe is a slow-cooked comfort meal that delivers melt-in-your-mouth beef, tender potatoes, and savory flavor, all made with minimal prep.
Ingredients
2–3 pounds chuck or sirloin steak, trimmed
1.5 pounds baby potatoes (halved if large)
1 large onion, sliced
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup low sodium beef broth
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Trim steak and season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder or paprika.
2. (Optional) Sear the steak in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
3. Wash and cut potatoes. Slice onion and mince garlic.
4. Layer potatoes, onions, and garlic on the bottom of the crockpot.
5. Place steak on top of the vegetables.
6. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce evenly over everything.
7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
8. Check for tenderness. Serve hot with chopped parsley as garnish.
Notes
You can add extras like mushrooms, carrots, or bell peppers.
For a garlic butter twist, add butter and minced garlic near the end of cooking.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
