- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup high-quality cocoa powder
- 1-2 tablespoons grated milk chocolate
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

- Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions
- In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed saucepan, pour in 2-3 cups of whole milk and ½ cup of heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until steaming, being careful not to let it boil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup of cocoa powder and 1-2 tablespoons of grated chocolate until combined. Add about ½ cup of the hot milk mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Slowly pour the chocolate mixture back into the saucepan while whisking constantly. Add the sweetened condensed milk and ⅛ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Continue whisking until smooth.
- Reduce heat to low and let the hot chocolate simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Ladle into heat-resistant mugs and top with whipped cream and ground cinnamon, adding chocolate shavings if desired. Serve hot.
