An indulgent bake transforming flaky croissants into a savory breakfast masterpiece, perfect for brunch gatherings.
Ingredients
- 6-8 Croissants (cut into halves or thirds)
- 10-12 slices deli meat (ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, salami)
- 3-4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
- 8-10 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 tbsp fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the croissants into thirds.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs, heavy cream or milk, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and chopped rosemary. Whisk until smooth.
- Dunk the croissant pieces into the mixture, shaking off excess liquid.
- Place croissant pieces into a greased baking dish.
- Add slices of deli meat and cheese between the croissant layers.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, melted butter, and herbs for a glaze.
- Pour the honey butter mixture over the croissants.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown, basting with leftover honey butter during baking.
Notes
Use day-old croissants for best results. Experiment with fillings and sauces to suit your taste!
