A comforting meal that combines chicken and stuffing cooked slowly in a crockpot for rich flavors and minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (12 oz) package stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, chopped celery, chopped onion, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Add the stuffing mix evenly on top and do not stir.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is hot.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or mixed vegetables. For a crispy texture, turn the crockpot to high for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
