Description

Crispy and flavorful Paneer Popcorn, perfect for snacking or serving at parties.


Ingredients

  • 200 gms Paneer
  • ¾ tbsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • ½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Oil – to deep fry
  • ½ piece Lemon
  • 2 bowls Corn flakes
  • ¾ tbsp Mixed herbs
  • ½ tbsp Chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • A pinch of Black pepper powder
  • Water – required to make binding paste


Instructions

  1. Cut the paneer block into 1-inch pieces and set aside.
  2. Combine turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste with oil and lemon juice in a plate.
  3. Add paneer cubes to the mixture and coat them thoroughly. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Separate corn flakes into two sections: one for powdering and one for crushing manually.
  5. Mix ground corn flakes with crushed corn flakes and set aside.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine salt, mixed herbs, red chili flakes, all-purpose flour, corn flour, turmeric, black pepper, and mixed herbs.
  7. Add a little water to make a thick binding paste. Dip marinated paneer cubes into this mixture and transfer to corn flakes.
  8. Coat paneer cubes well with corn flakes and set aside.
  9. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the paneer cubes until golden brown on both sides.
  10. Remove from the oil and place on tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Notes

Ensure paneer is fresh for the best taste. Adjust spices according to your heat preference. For extra crunch, double coat the paneer cubes.
