Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add cold water until it forms a smooth batter. Coat each piece of chicken in the batter.

- In a small saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine crispy chicken with the orange sauce, adding sesame oil if desired. Toss until well coated.
- Serve the Crispy Orange Chicken hot, over rice or alongside steamed vegetables.
