Description
A playful twist on a classic comfort food, pairing gooey melted cheese with the bright, tangy crunch of dill pickles.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
- 3-4 dill pickle slices
- Butter (for grilling)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheese and dill pickles.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, try a melty vegan cheese and use a plant-based spread instead of butter.
