Description

A delightful dish combining garlic, cream, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear chicken thighs for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in spices and a bit of cream before cooking. For heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce.
