Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken sausage and sauté until browned.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Stir in the steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm.
