Description

A quick and easy recipe for succulent chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (About 2 lbs.)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels. Season all sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes until done. Remove from skillet.
  3. Reduce heat and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer and reduce for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Lower heat and add parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over it, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure chicken is dry before searing for crispy skin. Adjust sauce thickness to preference.
