Ingredients
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the seasoned steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until simmering.
- Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Combine cooked tortellini and sliced steak with the sauce, tossing gently to coat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired.
Notes
Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and cracked black pepper. A side salad or garlic bread pairs well.
