Description
A light and fluffy low-carb, gluten-free alternative to regular bread, perfect for sandwiches or as a tasty snack.
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks in a mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the egg yolks with the cottage cheese and salt until well combined.
- In a third bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.
- Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming round mounds.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze individually wrapped pieces.
