Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips (or your choice of mix-ins)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside.
- In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and light in color.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips or any mix-ins you choose.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them a few inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
