Description

A comforting classic meatloaf recipe that is simple to prepare, making it perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or onto a lined baking sheet.
  4. Spread the 1/2 cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
