Description

A traditional meatloaf recipe that is juicy and flavorful, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread the remaining ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. You can add additional spices or vegetables for extra flavor.
