Description

A delightful and moist apple cake that showcases the natural sweetness of apples, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the sliced apples and sugar, set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, rum, and eggs. Add in the vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the apple mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.
