Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for swirl)
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the softened butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Use a knife to swirl the mixture into the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
