Description

A delightful treat combining soft, buttery bread with a sweet swirl of cinnamon and sugar, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for swirl)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Cream the softened butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil to the butter mixture and mix well.
  7. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Use a knife to swirl the mixture into the batter.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
