Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until boiling.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, and let sit for a few minutes to melt.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly, then sprinkle nuts if desired.
  8. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be refrigerated for longer storage but best enjoyed at room temperature.
