Ingredients
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until boiling.
- Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, and let sit for a few minutes to melt.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly, then sprinkle nuts if desired.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be refrigerated for longer storage but best enjoyed at room temperature.
