Ingredients
- 30 saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a couple of minutes to melt, then spread it evenly over the toffee layer.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts and sea salt over the top.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
- Serve and enjoy!
