Ingredients

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

3/4 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.

3. Gradually add in both sugars and beat until well combined.

4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.

7. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.

8. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

9. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.

10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
