Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package pizza dough
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into circles (about 6 inches in diameter).
- Place a generous amount of the chicken mixture on one half of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Can be customized with different fillings.
