Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, red food coloring, salt, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Once the brownies are cool, spread the cream cheese frosting on top.
- Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!
