Description

A fun and easy dish that brings the flavors of tacos into a bite-sized treat, perfect for parties and family meals.

Ingredients

  • 450 grams ground beef
  • 1 package canned biscuit dough (approximately 8 biscuits, 340 grams total)
  • 28 grams taco seasoning (1 standard packet)
  • 100 grams cheddar cheese, hand shredded
  • Sour cream, to serve
  • Diced tomatoes, to serve
  • Shredded lettuce, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and grease a standard muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Separate the biscuits and carefully split each horizontally to create thinner disks. Press each half into the muffin tin wells, ensuring the dough covers the bottom and sides.
  3. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Add taco seasoning and the required water as per packet instructions. Stir well and simmer until thickened.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and combined.
  6. Evenly spoon the beef and cheese mixture into the prepared biscuit cups.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, until the biscuit cups are golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  8. Allow taco cups to cool slightly, then carefully lift each cup from the muffin tin using a butter knife if needed.
  9. Top each cup with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce. Serve warm.

Notes

These taco cups are best enjoyed warm. Customize toppings to suit your preferences.
