A delightful dish of tender chicken, gooey cheese, and savory garlic wrapped in a soft tortilla, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded or chopped chicken
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Optional: baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, mozzarella, cheddar, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and parsley. Mix until all ingredients are well blended and creamy.
- Place the tortillas on a flat surface. Spoon about 1/4 of the filling mixture into the center of each tortilla. If desired, add optional vegetables like baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes.
- Fold the sides of the tortillas inward and then roll them tightly from the bottom to form wraps.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic. Brush the outside of each wrap generously with this mixture.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place each wrap in the skillet seam-side down. Toast for 2–3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is melted.
- Remove from the skillet and slice each wrap in half. Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as ranch or garlic aioli.
Notes
Customize the fillings with leftover vegetables or mix in other ingredients for added flavor.
