Description

A delightful dessert featuring layers of rich caramel flavor and creamy textures, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour the cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. For the frosting, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Layer the cooled cakes with caramel sauce, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream frosting.
  10. Decorate as desired and serve.

Notes

Ensure eggs and butter are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Check for doneness a few minutes before baking time ends.
