Buffalo Chicken Nachos are the ultimate game-day snack packed with spicy buffalo chicken, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings, making them a crowd-pleaser at any gathering.
Ingredients
- 200g Macro Organic original corn chips
- 2 cooked chicken breast fillets, coarsely shredded
- 1/2 cup buffalo wings sauce (plus 1 tablespoon extra to serve)
- 1 1/3 cups shredded light tasty cheese
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 340g Woolworths buffalo style salad kit
- 1 avocado, deseeded, finely chopped
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (or 180°C for fan-forced).
- Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
- Spread an even layer of corn chips over the tray.
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the buffalo wings sauce, tossing it to coat well.
- Scatter half of the cheese over the chips, followed by the chicken mixture and red onion.
- Top everything off with the remaining cheese.
- Bake the nachos for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden, and the chips are light golden as well.
- While the nachos bake, prepare the salad according to package instructions.
- Once the nachos are ready, top them with chopped avocado, sliced spring onions, and an extra drizzle of buffalo sauce.
- Serve with the salad on the side.
Notes
For best results, use sturdy corn chips and consider adding fresh toppings for contrast. Watch the baking time carefully to avoid burning the nachos.
